I think you underestimate the power of statistics and the ability of pollgivers. Not to say you can’t have a bad poll, but such things are largely accounted for in a good poll.

Just because someone is a pimp or prostitute doesn’t mean that they’re evil in every way and can’t speak a truthful statement if their life depended on it, which is what you seem to assume.

The numbers in real estate would be have to be accurate because of the legal nature of the business and paperwork involved.

The numbers for the other are gathered by surveys. Survey results are never accurate under the best of circumstances. Expecting truthfulness from people who are involved in criminal activity and living in an underworld society is more than a little naive.

The only reason pimp stats were brought up is to “sex up” the headline for this video and attract viewers, otherwise no interesting talking points were raised in this video. “You can keep 5% commission if you do the work yourself” – what else’s new?

Because someone exists in a world of untruths does not mean that they are evil. Are Senators evil? (Okay maybe a bad example.)

To do, an investigation into an underworld, you would have to do extensive research on a system both secretive and unstable. It would take a lot of time and work–the type of thorough research a book of small blips does not support.

I know every man wants to believe it when she says “You’re amazing” but I’m pretty sure that’s the furthest thing from her mind.

you just need to use the mindset to see it for what it is

advertising agencies are all pimps
and all service agencies are prostitutes
eg. hair salons, a very real likeness, they sell “hands on make-you-feel-good-about-yourself” service
same with manicures and pedicures, blah blah
they’re just whoring their skills to make you happy
…
and they charge about the same as actual prostitutes too
