Sh it but the sad realty is that thousands and millions more are and will die in the future for many other things link to religious fanatics.is this the norm today? Are we going to wait until the knife is at our very own throat or&#8230; I don&#8217;t know.<br />
<br />How do you stop people from killing? It seems to me that some parts of the middle east is a couple of hundred years behind the rest of the world. Hopefully they will catch up. The problem is, they got machine guns, and a backward society, with a lot of fundamentalist brainwashing, which isn&#8217;t a good mix. Maybe education? I don&#8217;t know, I think that it won&#8217;t take too long for them to mellow out a bit, if they get the internet and MTV, stuff like that.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Okay so without going in to too much detail about this whole ordeal I have a question about being followed while being on workers comp. My mother who was hurt November of 2010 at work filed all nessesary paper work and continued to work as she kept getting misdiagnosed. After a couple month in pain she was finally diagnosed with a tear in her shoulder muscle and a detached bicep tendon. After surgery in April of 2011 and weeks of therapy she was told she could go back to work in August. After three or so days of work she re-injured herself because she was truly not ready to go back (therapy and another doctor agreed).  She has been going to therapy and as she comes to find out the surgeon misdiagnosed her when she re-injured herself , as shown by reports and another doctor&#8212;who the comp people actually sent her too. &#8212; So anyway with all those details&#8230;.</p>
<p>She find out someone is following her, she went to court once and they told the judge what they had found, which was nothing really. They wanted to settle with her, but because she does not know what the state of her shoulder is in now and in the future her lawyer ( YES SHE HAS ONE) advised her to visit the doctor again next month on her appt date before the accept or go to court. Anyway today she went to her boyfriend realestate/tax office to help him answer some phones, which she does sometimes. She has been released by doctors to do 8hour sedentary work and answer phones, her previous employer however has not found a job for her. She is usually an LPN. A man who did not introduce himself walked in to the office and asked one of the men there question about her, he was rather disheveled and actually made a pretty gross mess in the bathroom and the bathroom floor while there. After asking my mother and her boyfriend some strange questions he finally left. He then passed the office a couple more times and sat on a road watching the office. They tried to find him in the car but the windows were too tinted to see him there but after about 2 minutes the car was gone. </p>
<p>Because my mother has a lawyer was it against the law to approach my mother and ask her questions, posing as someone who wanted to buy a house and have his taxes lowered. </p>
<p>sorry this is so long I just can&#8217;t find much on the laws for PI&#8217;s and comp laws.<br />
She did contact her lawyer he seemed unconcerned, which worries me. Also she was afraid that it was some nut following her. Especially because of the mess he made in the bathroom and the intense interest he had in her.<br />
Why shouldn&#8217;t she be &quot;working&quot; she is not getting paid and she is able according to her doctor to sit for 8 hours and answer phone? So if she&#8217;s cleared to do that why couldn&#8217;t she do it there if she could do it at her normal place of employment if they would have found  a position for her?<br />
<br />My dad used to moonlight as a work comp investigator.  Yes they can follow you around and photograph you when you are out in public.  They can even talk to you.</p>
<p>If your mother is on work comp the insurance company is paying her to rest up or go to therapy.  NOT to do volunteer work, regardless of whether she could do it at her job or not.  She can sit on her front porch and talk on the phone all day.  She cannot play receptionist in a business.  </p>
<p>She could easily lose her WC benefits AND her job</p>

<br />i have been selling timeshares for almost 4 years now. money is ok. however, everyone i know who sells real estate makes more money. the cons&#8230;u have to ride around all day showing homes. with timeshares, i just sit at my desk from home and sell from the internet. also, commercial real estate is big money too. gd luck</p>

OREA courses don&#8217;t do much for you at all in terms of the reality of commercial realty representation, so i&#8217;m going to be needing  a lot of hands-on training. thanks.<br />
<br />I imagine it works similar to the way it works in the US.  In the US the individual brokerage would provide on the job training or some sort of mentor-ship, but commercial brokers are a great deal more picky about rookies coming into the business so if you don&#8217;t have any sales experience it will be tougher to find a good broker.  Often there is continuing education apart what is necessary for licensing that is valued.  Where I am from one such program is with CCIM (see link) which can add to your credibility to your commercial real estate peers, and clientele.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>this is an extension of my last question.  my best friend is about to loose her home to a foreclosre but she has it in realty.  she told me today that the bank (small town &#8211; everyone knows everyone) said they would take back the house without any forclosure on her record, her and her husband will just leave the house (i guess) and the bank will sell it on their own.  but her real estate agent is pushing for a short sale and im sure they are doing that to still get some kind of commission.  which way would be better &#8211; give the home back to the bank with no forclosure or have a short sale?</p>

She does have some equity in the home, but with the market now, no-one is buying, at her asking price now she will only come out with 25,000.00 after realestate fees and payoff.  she would like to use this money to get started somewhere else with less of a monthly payment.  if she short sales or gives back to the bank she will have no money to get started somehwere else and with bad credit on top of that&#8230; what to do?<br />
<br />That would depend on how much equity they have in their home.  If there home is appraised at a lot more than the loan balance, try to sell it.  That way, your friend might at least make a profit from it.  They did pay money into it.  It&#8217;s only fair that they get something out of it.  If however they lost value on it since purchasing, they might want to go with the bank&#8217;s idea.  But, whatever you do with the bank, get it in writing.  Just because it doesn&#8217;t show up as a foreclosure doesn&#8217;t mean it can&#8217;t show up as a deficient account and turn into a collection account.  </p>

<br />Craigslist is full of scams.<br />
Never give anyone any personal information online.<br />
Never pay any deposits or give anyone account information<br />
Only get an apartment if you can do a full walkthrough first, and ask the person showing you the place show your their ID to make sure it matches your lease paperwork.  Do a background check on the property to see who owns it.<br />
I&#8217;ve seen many, many scams where people give a deposit online, then get a key, and the key never fits the place</p>
